Depending on your treatment goals and your skin condition you may decide to have a single treatment or your esthetician may advise you to have a series of 4-8 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart.
What does the treatment feel like?
Generally it is pain free, but deeper micro-needling treatments can be uncomfortable. Therefore a topical anesthetic will be applied ahead of time to reduce any discomfort.
What will I look like after?
Immediately after a micro-needling treatment the skin can appear red or flushed similar to a moderate sunburn. typically any redness will resolve within 1–2 days.
What are the possible side-effects?
Mild discomfort and redness are the most common side effects. Microdermal needling does not inlvolve injections therefore, regardless oF race or color, our clients have shown no adverse skin reactions or post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.
How do I take care of my skin after treatment?
Internal and external hydration is essential. Drink lots of water and carefully follow the skincare regimen prescribed by your skin care specialist. Practice good sun protection and avoid abrasive topicals or any other treatments for 2–3 days.
