Long lasting hair reduction
Laser hair removal works by targeting the pigment (melanin) in the hair. Melanin is present in both hair and skin and is also responsible for determining the color. Because light is absorbed more readily by darker pigments, lasers are able to achieve localized damage to the hair follicle only.

Laser hair removal FAQ
What are the most popular areas to treat?
Usually on women it is underarms, the bikini area and lower legs and on men it is the upper body and neck. But those are just the popular areas – you are free to laser whatever bothers you on that beautiful body of yours! (Besides eyebrows and inside the nose).
What is the downtime like for laser hair removal?
Laser requires almost no downtime at all, some redness and irritation may be present afterwards and that may take a few hours or a few minutes to dissipate. Applying Aloe or a soothing cream is a great help to your skin after a laser session.
What should I do to prepare for my laser session?
There are three very important things to remember prior to treatment, 1. NO SUN EXPOSURE for at least two weeks before your session, and if you are tan wait until it fades completely for best results. This includes spray tans. The more contrast between the skin and the hair, the better your results will be. 2. NO antibiotics for at least 7 days before your laser session, antibiotics can make you sensitive to light and can cause hyperpigmentation on the treated area. 3. SHAVE the treatment area completely the night before or the morning of your laser session. Shave slowly and use a good razor to avoid irritation. It may feel strange if you are a woman shaving your face for the first time but I promise you it will not grow back thicker and faster that is all just a myth!
How long after waxing can I start laser hair removal?
Congrats on crossing over to the permanent side! Wait at least 4-6 weeks after a wax to begin your laser treatment. If it is the face and you feel there is more than enough hair to begin the treatment, then you may schedule an appointment.
What should I do post-treatment?
Moisturize and keep the area out of the sun, especially in the summer time. Make SPF 50 your best friend. Also avoid the gym and taking a hot bath or shower for the remainder of the day.
Is laser radiation harmful?
No, Lasers emit radiation in the form of light, which is the same as ordinary light that interacts with your body on a daily basis.
Am I a good candidate for laser hair removal?
Is your hair brown or black? THEN YES!
How long do I wait between laser sessions?
Hair grows in cycles, so we will schedule you at every 6 weeks for the first few sessions then start spacing it out from 8-12 weeks, the reason we do this is because you will notice your hair will begin to grow slower and slower as the hair follicles become weaker, and if there is nothing growing, there is nothing to laser.
